Transfer Surge in Last War: How to Change Servers Without Losing Progress
Has your server turned into a nightmare thanks to toxic top alliances and whales burning bases just for fun? Or maybe you just want to team up with friends, find players from your country, and play in a chill environment where everyone actually speaks your language? The Transfer Surge is the legit way to pack up all your hard-earned progress and migrate to a better Warzone.
This event first drops after Season 2 ends, and then consistently returns at the end of every following season. You'll need 50 Transfer Tickets to make the jump. Read on to find out how to farm them in a week completely F2P, why you can't just transfer your entire alliance, and why you need to negotiate with the President of your new server beforehand.

How the Transfer Surge Works (Event Schedule)
The event lasts for 14 days, is tied to the Season Celebration, and is divided into three key phases:
- Prep Day (7 days). The system records your historical highest power and assigns you a Status. During this time, you can browse available Warzones, check seat quotas, and do some diplomacy.
- Application (4 days). You pick a suitable Warzone and submit your application. Once submitted, the process cannot be canceled.
- Transfer (1 day). The big day. If your application is approved, you can manually initiate the jump at any time. If you forget to do so, the system will automatically transfer you at server reset.
Politics, Server Statuses, and Seat Quotas
Changing servers isn't just about pressing a button; it's straight-up diplomacy. You can leave your old server without asking for permission, but to land on a new one, you absolutely need the approval of the target Warzone's President.
Transferring your entire alliance is impossible. To stop players from creating unbeatable "mega servers", the devs introduced strict quotas. The number of available seats depends on the strength of the receiving Warzone:
- Fully Open (Weak servers). In need of reinforcements. They can accept up to 150 players: 80 white seats, 60 blue, 8 purple, and a solid 2 seats for top-tier players (gold seats).
- Semi-open (Average servers). A standard balance of 106 seats: 60 white, 40 blue, 5 purple, and only 1 seat for a top player.
- Limited Open (Strong servers). A strict limit of 73 players: 40 white, 30 blue, and 3 purple. Top players are completely locked out of these servers (0 gold seats).
Pro tip for a perfect move: DM the President of the target server in advance. If you're migrating with a tight-knit group of 10-20 active players, you look like a massive boost to the receiving side, and your chances of getting approved skyrocket.
Individual Points and Commander Status
Your chances of transferring depend directly on your Individual Points — the historical highest power you've ever reached. Unequipping gear, removing decorations, or benching heroes is useless; the system tracks your peak stats anyway.
Based on the power of your buildings, Tech, Drone, and top 15 heroes, you are assigned a Status:
- Follower (White Seat) — baseline power. You have the most available spots on any server.
- Trailblazer (Blue Seat) — above-average players.
- Contributor (Purple Seat) — core powerhouses. Seats for this tier are strictly limited.
- Elite (Gold Seat) — server elites and whales. The competition for these 1-2 spots is absolutely cutthroat.
How to Get 50 Transfer Tickets (100% F2P)
In the past, transferring was a real struggle for F2P players. The Alliance Shop only sold 3 tickets a week, meaning you had to wait and grind for 10 long weeks just to afford the move.
Now everything has changed! Thanks to the new "Bricks" system (an in-game currency that replaces real money), you can grab premium cash packs absolutely for free. By staying active and farming bricks, you can hoard all 50 Transfer Tickets in literally one week. This means that right after Season 2 ends, you can make the jump without spending a single dime.
Pre-Transfer Checklist
After the new server's President approves your application, wait for Transfer Day and ensure you meet 4 conditions before hitting that button:
- You have left your current alliance.
- You are not the President of your current Warzone.
- All your marches are recalled, and your squads are chilling at the base.
- You are on your home map (not visiting an enemy server).
What Happens to Your Account After the Transfer?
Don't be afraid to migrate — the game safely preserves almost all of your hard-earned progress.
What stays exactly the same:
- Resources in your bag, Diamonds, and your entire inventory.
- Building levels, upgrades, and hero power.
- Personal points in the Duel VS.
- Current progress in Radar Tasks, Arms Race, and other solo events.
What resets or changes:
- You will be wiped from your old Warzone's leaderboards.
- Your rankings in the Apex Arena, 3v3 Brawl, and Storm Arena will reset — you'll have to grind your way back to the top.
- Cooldowns for Zombie Siege or Desert Storm won't apply to you — you can participate immediately after joining a new alliance.
Alternative: How to Change Servers Right Now
If you're a beginner getting bullied by P2W whales, and waiting for the season to end takes way too long — just create a new character (alt account). You'll lose your current progress but get a completely fresh start. To do this, go to your Commander Profile -> Account -> Character Management and select a new Warzone.
