Arms Race: Complete Guide
Arms Race is a daily cyclic competition that starts on the third day of the server's life. It serves as a primary source for various resources, including rare ones such as Skill Medals 
and UR Hero Shards 
, which are essential for developing your base.
1. Phases and Their Features
The event is divided into 4-hour blocks (6 segments per day). Since there are only five thematic phases, one of them repeats twice daily. Because of this, the competition schedule shifts 4 hours earlier each day, which equalizes chances for players across different time zones (from Asia to America). This mechanic ensures that every participant eventually encounters a desired contest at a convenient time without missing it due to work or sleep.
Hero Advancement
Points are awarded for hiring heroes in the Tavern (using Hero Recruitment Tickets 
) and increasing their level using Hero EXP 
.
Strategy: It is recommended to save recruitment tickets until Thursday to earn points in both Arms Race and the Alliance Duel simultaneously. Hero EXP from chests in the inventory should be opened as late as possible—the higher the HQ level, the more resources they provide.
Base Building
Points are awarded for increasing building power and using construction Speedups 
(including generic ones 
).
Important nuance: Power points are not credited when the timer ends, but rather when you open the Gift Box in which the newly upgraded building is "packaged".
Strategy: Keep completed secondary buildings in their boxes and open them in a batch at the start of this phase for instant rewards.
Unit Progression
Points are awarded for the start of training and Promotion of units (including the use of generic Speedups 
).
"Ladder Strategy": It is more profitable not to train top-tier soldiers immediately, but to sequentially increase their level through intermediate stages (e.g., from T7 to T8, then to T9). Tech Research
Points are awarded for completing technology research and using Speedups 
.
Strategy: Plan the completion of long and expensive researches specifically for this 4-hour block.
Drone Boost
Points are given for using Battle Data 
and spending Stamina 
.
For maximum points, use stamina on Doom Elites, zombies, radar missions, and other events requiring stamina.
2. Stage Swap (New)
This function allows you to change the competition schedule once per day to match your accumulated resources.
- Limit: Only one swap attempt is available per day.
- Direction: You can only swap the current stage for one that is scheduled later on the same day.
- Progress Transfer: If you have already opened 2 chests in the current stage, after the swap, the first 2 chests of the new stage will also be considered already opened.
- Restrictions: Swapping is unavailable if there are unclaimed rewards in the current block or if there are less than 5 minutes remaining in the stage.
3. Group Formation
Every day at 00:00 server time, the system randomly assigns players to groups of 12–20 people with similar HQ levels to ensure competition.
While the algorithm attempts to match you with "equal" opponents, ordinary strategy is often powerless against players who buy Diamond packs (which also grant Arms Race points)—they will always be a step ahead in the overall daily ranking.
4. Reward System
Prizes in the event are implemented through two sequential progress scales:
- Phase Chests (Points Progress Bar): Completing thematic tasks for the current stage fills the points progress bar. As it fills, you can sequentially open three chests containing valuable resources and Arms Race Badges
. Opening the first, second, and third phase chests grants 1, 2, and 3 badges respectively. - Today’s Goal (Badge Scale): This is a global daily progress scale filled exclusively by badges earned from phase chests. Final rewards of the day open upon collecting 2, 8, and 18 badges out of the 36 maximum possible. This means you need to fully complete at least 3 thematic phases per day. This is easiest to achieve in phases like "Hero Advancement," "Unit Progression" (using the Ladder Strategy), or "Drone Boost."
- Ranking Rewards: These are calculated based on the total sum of points for the entire day among all participants in your group. The most valuable first place prize guarantees a UR Hero Shard, but given the participation of big spenders in your group, this often becomes an unattainable goal.

Summary
For maximum efficiency, synchronize your actions with the "Alliance Duel" (Duel VS). Since winning the overall Arms Race ranking is extremely difficult due to the presence of strong spenders, priority should always be given to the Duel.
Success in the Duel benefits your entire alliance and provides access to rare Honor Medals 
. In most cases, it is sufficient to reach the minimum point level in the Arms Race to claim the phase rewards (opening the three chests) and meet the Today’s Goal milestones, while saving your main resources for the decisive stages of the Duel. Duel is more important.
