Boost Damage — Get Rewards!
How to Deal More Damage to “Code Name” Bosses
Mason is an SSR hero that many players write off as soon as they assemble their first squad of gold (UR) heroes. And that is a big mistake!
In PvP, Mason is indeed inferior to top-tier heroes. But in PvE (battles against monsters), he is an indispensable tool for dealing colossal damage. His main target is the "Code Name" Bosses.
In this guide, we will break down how to properly use Mason to take the top spots in the damage rankings and claim the best rewards.
Who is the "Code Name" Boss?
These bosses appear on the world map from Monday to Saturday at specific hours (00:00, 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00 server time). The battle lasts for 3 hours.
There are three types of bosses, each with its own vulnerability:
- Code 39: Takes increased damage from Aircraft heroes.
- Code 64: Takes increased damage from Missile Vehicle heroes.
- Code 87: Takes increased damage from Tank heroes.
How to Use Mason for Max Damage?
1. The Magic of the Passive Skill
Mason's main strength is his passive skill, "Zombie Purge". It gives a huge damage bonus against any neutral targets (monsters and bosses). Thanks to this skill, Mason often out-damages even upgraded UR heroes in PvE.
Mason belongs to the Tank class, so he is most effective against Boss Code 87. However, he is worth taking into the team against other bosses as well if your specialized squads (Aircraft/Missile Vehicle) are still weak.
2. Remove Defense
The "Code Name" Boss deals almost no damage to your squad. You don't need to survive; you need to deal damage!
Tactics:
- Remove a pure defender from the squad (e.g., Williams or Murphy) who gives shields but hits weakly.
- Put Mason in his place.
- Place Mason in the back row and equip him with your best attack gear (Gun and Chip).
How Else to Increase Damage?
In addition to team composition, use external buffs:
- War Fever: Activate this buff before attacking. To do this, simply send a Scout to any abandoned base on the map. This will give you +1% Attack. It's a small detail, but every point counts in the race for ranking.
- "Mushroom" Skin: If you have this base skin, be sure to equip it. It gives a passive damage bonus against neutral creatures (PvE).
Conclusion
Don't forget about Mason! He is a specialized "boss killer." Replace a defender with him, activate "War Fever," and use class advantages. This is a simple and free way to significantly boost your ranking in the event.
