Special Event Secrets

How to Get Rare Rewards in Special Events

In Last War: Survival, besides the main game events, there are a number of periodic Special Events. Their main goal, naturally, is to encourage player spending.

The principle is simple: during the event (usually lasting up to 7 days), you collect a specific special resource. Then, in the event shop, you can exchange it for various rewards. If you don't have enough resources for the desired prize, the game offers to buy more. For F2P players or those with minimal spending, the free resources collected are usually only enough for something insignificant.

However, it is important to distinguish between two types of events: those where resources expire after the event ends, and those where they are saved.

In events where resources do not expire, they can be accumulated (hoarded) over several cycles. This allows you to reach the main rewards, which are usually considered available only through spending. True, this will require great patience. The main thing is to understand in which events the hoarding strategy works, and where resources expire or simply aren't worth the long wait.

In this article, we will focus on those interesting events that allow you to get very rare rewards.

Lucky Spin

Lucky Spin is an event for obtaining heroes. In the later stages of the game, when a player has activated all characters, it is unlikely to generate much interest. However, at the start, it is a great opportunity to get heroes that are otherwise only available via spending.

The event appears on Day 8 (Hero DVA) and Day 15 (Hero Swift).

Concept and Strategy

The wheel consists of 12 slots with rewards. Relying on luck in spins is not worth it — the chance of a hero dropping directly is extremely low.

Your Goal — The Progress Bar
The event has a cumulative reward scale based on the number of spins. We are interested in the very first prize on this scale — the 10-spin mark. Reaching it guarantees you 10 hero shards, allowing you to activate them immediately.

Important Note:
If you do not plan to play with these heroes (building an Aircraft or Missile Vehicles squad), there is not much point in spending diamonds on them. However, if you want to assemble these squads, skipping the event will delay obtaining the heroes by almost 2 months (they will appear in the Tavern only on Day 60).

Math: How to Get a Hero for 1500 Diamonds

One spin costs 500 Diamonds Diamonds. The game gives 1 free spin every day.

"Economical" Strategy:

  • Spin the wheel for free every day for a week (7 spins).
  • On the last day of the event, buy the remaining 3 spins with your diamonds.
  • Total Cost: The hero will cost only 1500 Diamonds Diamonds.

"Impatient" Strategy:

  • If you don't want to wait a week — on the very first day, make 1 free spin and buy 9 paid ones.
  • Total Cost: 4500 Diamonds Diamonds, but you get the hero immediately.

Glittering Market

This event first appears around the 6th week of the game and lasts for 6 days. It is critical for those who want to get heroes previously available only via spending, or top-tier gear, using exclusively saved diamonds.

Currency and Event Math

The main resource here is the Glittering Coin Glittering Coin. It is important to know that these coins do not expire between events.

  • How to get: You can buy 60 coins daily for 500 Diamonds Diamonds.
  • Event Limit: You can purchase a maximum of 360 coins per event (6 days x 60 coins).
  • Cost: Buying all coins for one event will cost you 3000 Diamonds Diamonds.

What to Spend Coins On? Player Priorities

1. Exclusive Hero Activation (For Beginners)

A Hero Choice Chest Hero Choice Chest is available in the event shop for 60 coins Glittering Coin. This is a great chance to get characters previously available only for real money: Kimberly, Carly, DVA, Tesla, Swift.

Important to know: These heroes will become available in the regular Tavern (free recruitment) only after 4–5 weeks. Buying the chest for 60 coins allows you to activate a strong hero a month earlier than others.

2. Gear Blueprint (MR) (Main Goal)

The most important investment for long-term power growth is the Gear Blueprint (MR) Gear Blueprint (MR).

  • Cost: 300 coins for 1 fragment.
  • Amount needed: It takes 10 fragments to craft one piece of Mythic gear.
  • Total Goal: You need to accumulate 3000 coins.
  • Time to accumulate: If buying the maximum coins (360 per run), it will take about 9 event cycles.

3. "Flying Fortress" Base Skin (For the Most Patient)

A status reward.

  • Cost: 4000 coins.
  • Time to accumulate: You will have to buy out all coins for 12 events (you will have to skip spending in 11 markets and buy it on the 12th).

4. Decoration

You can also consider the "Tower of Victory" decoration for 100 coins.

Glittering Market

Strategy Summary

If you play without spending (F2P), the best tactic for the first appearance of the market is to spend 60 coins Glittering Coin to activate a key hero (if you haven't bought them before), and save all subsequent coins for Gear Blueprints (MR) Gear Blueprint (MR).

Ammo Bonanza

This event is a clear example of why you should save special currency, specifically Ammo Ammo. The event lasts for 5 days. Obtaining the main currency here is very simple — daily activity is enough.

How to Get Ammo Ammo

By completing simple daily actions, you are guaranteed to restock your supply:

  • Alliance Tech Donations: Make 5 contributions — 4 Ammo.
  • Radar Tasks: Complete 1 Radar Task — 4 Ammo.
  • Train Units: Train 300 units — 4 Ammo.

Total Collection:

  • Free-to-Play (F2P): Collects 12 Ammo per day. Over the entire event (5 days), you will accumulate exactly 60 Ammo.
  • Spenders: Making any purchase with real money gives an additional 6 Ammo. Daily maximum is 18, and the event total is 90 Ammo.

Where to Spend: Bullseye Loot

Ammo is spent in a special event tab. Before you is a field of 12 targets.

Hidden among the rewards are 11 normal prizes and 1 Grand Prize, which you select yourself before the round begins. The most useful resource to choose is Upgrade Ore.

Most Important — The Progress Bar
The shooting process itself is secondary. The main goal is the cumulative progress bar, which fills up every time you find the Grand Prize on the field.

  • Progress Level 10: Gives a substantial amount of Upgrade Ore. This level can be reached in one event cycle by spending the standard 60 Ammo Ammo (they provide approximately 9–11 progress points).
  • Progress Level 100 (Main Goal): Here you will find Gear Blueprints (MR) Gear Blueprint (MR). To get them, you cannot spend Ammo every time for Level 10. You must save up.

Accumulation Strategy

Gear Blueprints (MR) are an extremely rare resource that is very difficult to get for free. Ammo Bonanza is one of the few ways, if you have patience.

  • The Math: To guaranteed clear the bar to 100 units at once, you will need about 600 Ammo Ammo. To be safe (so you don't stop one step away from the prize), it is recommended to collect 650 Ammo.
  • Time Cost: You will have to completely skip spending and save for 10–11 event cycles. This will take approximately 3–4 months.

Summary: Start saving Ammo from the very start of the game. Patience pays off with a powerful gear boost unavailable to those who spend everything at once.
