Speed Secrets in Last War: Survival Game – How to Move Faster and Attack with Surprise
In Last War, troop march speed depends directly on the task at hand. The game mechanics are designed so that marching to Resource Tiles is significantly faster than attacking an enemy HQ. You can effectively use this feature to save time and gain a tactical advantage.
Using Resource Tiles
1. Plan your route through resources:
Find the nearest Resource Tiles next to the enemy base you are targeting. First, send your squad to "Gather" at the tile, and once they are close, redirect them to "Attack" the enemy.
Time Saving Example:
- Direct march to Base: 3 minutes 13 seconds.
- March to a Resource Tile near the Base: 1 minute 37 seconds.
- Attack from the Tile to the Base: 9 seconds.
Result: You save almost half the march time!

Tactical Tricks
2. The Element of Surprise
Direct your squad so that its path crosses the enemy base (as if you are going to a resource tile behind it). At the moment of closest approach, sharply change the target to the enemy. This allows for a sudden attack, giving the opponent no time to prepare—pop a shield, request reinforcements, or use a Random Teleport.
3. Quick Return to Base
If you are far out on the map, use Resource Tiles to return. Send your squad to a tile near your home, and then Recall them. This is especially useful in critical situations during Server Wars.
Key Advantages:
- Time savings on marching to the target and returning to base.
- Surprise factor: the enemy won't have time to react to your attack.
"Taxi" for Squads: Joining a Rally
If you find yourself far from your base during events, use the "Taxi" mechanic — join an Alliance Rally.
Ask an alliance member to start a Rally (for example, on a Doom Elite) near your Hive, and join it. Your troops will speed up significantly to catch the assembly. This drastically reduces your return time.
Alternative: If you see an ally farming zombies (mobs) near your base, join their march to hitch a ride home quickly.
Summary: Use Resource Tiles and Alliance Rallies (Taxis) to speed up your movements. This not only saves time but also gives you a tactical edge in battle. Don't be a snail — be smarter!
