Season 2 in Last War: Survival is a complete game-changer. Instead of desert storms, we are facing a harsh polar climate, icy wastelands, and a base freezing mechanic.
The progression logic remains the same, but the core resources have shifted: now Coal 
and Titanium Alloy 
rule the world.
This guide covers the top secrets and tips for a strong Season 2 start. They will help you properly set up your economy, grab the best supplies, and wipe out the Doom Elite with zero losses.

Main Goal: Smart Economy and Heat Control
In Season 2, your success relies on the right balance between resource gathering and base heating. The entire economy is built on a simple loop: Coal upgrades factories, factories produce Titanium Alloy , and the alloy levels up your High-Heat Furnace (your Virus Resistance).
To avoid falling behind, stick to two main rules:
Secret #1: Perfect Factory Upgrading
- The Level 15 Rule: As soon as a factory reaches level 15, you unlock the ability to build the next one. Do not upgrade the building to level 16 until you have unlocked all available slots.
- Upgrade from the Bottom: The production boost is always fixed (+720 alloy per hour). Therefore, always upgrade your lowest-level buildings first — this yields maximum passive income for the lowest Coal cost.
Secret #2: Don't Waste Your Coal
- Careful with Overdrive: The furnace in high-power mode burns 4 times more Coal. Do not keep it in this state constantly, or you will run out of resources for construction, especially at the start of the season.
- Automation Control: Use the auto-turn-on checkboxes wisely. Turn on maximum heating only before boss fights or during the Cold Wave Incoming event. The rest of the time, rely on the passive Virus Resistance provided by the building's level.
Battle Passes: Are They Worth Buying?
If you are willing to spend some money, Battle Passes are the best way to speed up your start in Season 2. They grant instant access to the starting capital needed to kickstart your economy.

Season Boosts and Base Decorations
Just like in Season 1, the game features season boosts that will become available as soon as the season starts. Using specific heroes, decorations, and base skins will allow you to progressively unlock extra buffs as you advance.
Hero Season Boosts
- Violet: Reduces damage taken from monsters by 5%.
- Murphy: Reduces damage taken from monsters by 5%.
- Carlie: Increases damage to monsters by 10%.
- Swift: Increases damage to monsters by 10%.
"Eternal Frost Castle" Base Skin
- The base won't burn due to high temperatures (Holding In Stock Attributes).
- Lowers the enemy base's temperature by 3°C after a successful attack (Holding In Stock Attributes).
- Social mechanic: When a Commander likes your base, they will receive a Frost Gift (limit 1 per base for each Commander).
The game has a daily limit of 10 such gifts for likes. Feel free to open the map and drop a like on any ice castle owner you see—allies, strangers, and even enemies—to farm as many free resources as possible.
"Christmas Hunter" Drone
Increases march speed by 10%. Important: this is an "Equipped Attribute". To activate the bonus, simply owning the skin isn't enough — you must equip it in your drone settings.
"Tower of Victory" Decoration
Besides its standard stats, building this decoration provides a passive boost to your base temperature during the season. The higher the tower's level, the more heat it generates:
- Level 1: +3°C.
- Level 2: +4°C.
- Level 3 and above: +5°C.
Try to get this decoration before the season starts and upgrade it as high as possible. It's an excellent tactical move and a great investment that will make surviving the cold much easier.
Heat Boost: How to Maximize Your Combat Power
In Season 2, your base temperature directly affects the strength of your troops. The warmer your city, the stronger your buffs (including a morale boost).
Make sure to utilize this boost to achieve the best results in seasonal events, especially in PvP.
Important note: keep an eye on the perfect balance. Once the temperature reaches 50°C, your base catches fire. You can avoid this penalty with the "Eternal Frost Castle" season skin — it provides complete protection against burning during extreme overheating.
How to temporarily raise your temperature before a fight:
- Turn on your High-Heat Furnace in Overdrive mode.
- Relocate your base within the range of an active Alliance Furnace.
- Place your base on a captured city tile.
- Ask your allies to send a Scout Plane to "attack" you (being attacked raises the temperature).
- Launch a Firebomb (seasonal skill) within range of your base.
Supply Collection: Hunting for Golden Boxes
In Season 2, valuable resources are hidden under the snow on the world map. To extract them, you need to find the right coordinates and thaw the ground. You don't have to search blindly — for your convenience, the community has already created an interactive Season 2 supplies map.

Loot Secret: In the scattered supplies mechanic, rewards (12 boxes in total) are distributed in a strict order: snaking from left to right in the first row, then right to left in the second, and so on following the arrows. Golden boxes with upgraded loot appear at specific positions (for example, the 7th or 10th box).
Any player can claim the supplies by sending a Scout Plane. However, planes take quite a while to travel, especially if your base is far from the drop point.
Sniper Collection Tactic
- Use a Teleport: If you have the time and spare teleports, move your base right next to the supply point.
- Bide Your Time: Watch the distribution. Wait until the general queue of players clears out the regular boxes and the turn gets right up to the golden one.
- Instant Loot: Since you are right next to it, your plane will arrive instantly — send it right away and grab the best reward.
- Alternative without a Teleport: Calculate the exact flight time of your Scout Plane and send it in advance. The main goal is to time it so that it arrives exactly when it's the golden box's turn.
Doom Elite: How to Farm Resources with Zero Losses
For the first kill of each Doom Elite level, you receive a massive amount of Coal and some Titanium Alloy . However, with each level, the Virus Resistance requirements increase.
If your resistance is too low, the monster gets a huge buff to its damage dealt (up to 100%). Attempting a head-on rally will lead to colossal troop losses, regardless of the battle's outcome.
The "1 Hero" Tactic (Help from Strong Allies)
To claim the valuable season reward without burning through your army, use the following trick:
- You initiate the rally: As the rally leader, you will be credited with the first kill for that level.
- Minimize losses: Send only one hero with the lowest level in your squad. They will bring a minimum number of troops, keeping your losses to an absolute minimum.
- Striking force: The second person to join the rally must be a strong player from your Alliance who has enough Resistance to kill the Elite.
- How it works: In battle, your weak squad is instantly defeated, taking the first hit. Then your ally steps in, finishes off the Elite with zero losses, and you collect the first-clear resources.
First Doom Walker Kill of the Day
Doom Walkers are an excellent source of basic resources and, most importantly, Coal . Kill rewards, including seasonal resources, are given only once a day for the very first kill. If you rush and kill a low-level boss, you will receive the reward for that specific level, losing the chance to grab more valuable loot from a high-level Doom Walker.
- Time Synchronization: The season start might lag behind the server reset by some time. Make sure you don't kill a Doom Walker before the event actually launches, otherwise you will lose the first day's seasonal reward.
- Maximum Level: Try to attack the highest-level Doom Walker you can defeat. It's also a great idea to ask strong players in your Alliance for help here.
Upgrading Violet to UR: How to Hit the Jackpot in VS Duel
In the third week of Season 2, you will have the opportunity to upgrade Violet's rarity to UR using the "Legendary Hero Badge" item 
. You can use this mechanic to earn a massive amount of points in the "VS Duel" event absolutely for free.
The main secret lies in double-dipping your resources. If you perform the upgrade on the right day, the game will refund your spent materials, and you can invest them all over again, scoring points in the event twice!
The Perfect Strategy for Thursday (Hero Day)
- Wait for Thursday: This is the specific day in the "VS Duel" when you earn points for using hero shards and skill medals.
- Dump your resources: Spend all your Violet Shards
and Universal SSR Hero Shards 
to level her up on the Wall of Honor. Then, use all your available Skill Medals 
to upgrade her abilities. - Perform the upgrade: Apply the Legendary Hero Badge. Violet will be promoted to UR rank, and all the medals and shards invested in the Wall of Honor will be reset and returned to your in-game mailbox!
- Reinvest: Claim the refund from your mail. Use the shards to increase the star level of your newly minted UR Violet, and put the skill medals back into her (or redirect them to a more important hero in your main squad).
💡 Top Tactical Tip: Most players will spend their badge and resources on the very first available Thursday (in week 3). Since Violet is likely not your core hero, don't rush. Save her promotion for Thursday of week 4, or for a moment when your Alliance desperately needs points to win the Duel.
